THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
Anyone use these? I was thinking of getting a thousand or so to just make up some plinking rounds for my new ar 15. Anyones thoughts on this? I have always used cci but they seem to be out of stock everywhere online. And buying locally I would be paying double the online price.

Several kinds of Wolf SR primers are avaliable.

You want to get the ones with 5.56 as part of the part number, what you want for an AR.

KVB556M, that's the one.

I have used Wolf SRM, SP, LP, LR, all good.

I believe the Wolf brand is being phased out and the Tula brand will replace it.

I use the Tula Berdan primers and they are great.

So stock up on the Wolf primers while you can.

Yes it's a better way to offset the Hazmat charges ordering in bulk.

Thanks for the welcome! I have been reloading for about 7 years and just discovered this site and seems to be a lot of knowledge on here :P How much is the charges applied to ordering primers?

$27.50 hazmat fee plus shipping charges, probably around $15 shipping for 10k.

If you bought 10k it would still only be about $19 per k after adding all charges. Unless you can find primers cheap locally, its a good deal to me. This would be the time to buy powder also if needed or any other primers you may need. Ask any reloading friends or a local forum if anybody wants to go in on a bulk buy. The more you buy, the cheaper per k it will be. I believe you can put 48lbs. under one hazmat fee.

No consider how much cheaper per 1,000 it would be if you bought 20K??? 30K ???

Wolf and Tula are made by the same Russian primer maker. Wolf is a brand name and will no longer be imported as such Tula will be the name sold.
Notice, Tula is 4-5 bucks more a brick of 1K so ya it is wise to stock up on Wolf

They are GTG for 20 years or more so buy'em cheap and stack'em deep

I bought a bunch about 5 years ago and it seems that primers prices have doubled in the last 5 years so your right it is best to buy up a few years worth.
