If you shoot 115 gr you can bid on some 9mm Plated 115 gr on GB that are being liquidated. Sizing is a little spotty ranging from .355 to .357, but really tough to beat $45-50/k shipped. Example auction. I won two of these a few weeks back for $71 and $65. I'm going to sort out some of the .357 diameter ones (~20%) and test fire alongside the .355 to see if they're suitable for medium power plinking loads with titegroup. |

Meh. I have no desire to sort bullets.
The last batch came with a 20% code from extreme, but the email floof for the occasional code is just unbearable. Why do they do that? Dont they realize it offs customers? My main choices right now were blues bullets and rmr. Theyre I think 1 cpr different in price? Blues is around $240 for 3600 coated Rmr plated is about $235 for 3000 Blues coated are about 1.2 cents per cheaper. I dont know if it's worth it for coated v plated |

If it's really bad send them back in for a refund. (Or burn them on GB...) |

They put some stuff on sale at BIZARRE prices.... like "that can't be right"..... they got bought by some investment company, and they run them in a very odd fashion. Their prices are no longer competitive with the best out there, but when they do a good sale, LOOK OUT, because it will be amazing. You just have to watch them, and get their emails. The problem is by the time you get the email - the good deals are gone. I have bought a bunch of stuff below cost. |

They were nice people who worked their tails off before their warehouse fire... I bought stuff from them at "fair" prices over other sources that had lower prices just because the Widener's folks treated me nicely and actually listened to me. I haven't found much there that's been very enticing for quite some time, and as you say, the cool stuff gets bought up before I have a chance to see the email. I'm thinking other vendors are using "bots" to clean out sale items before we get a chance at them, which makes me pretty angry... |

I'm debating buying 32 lbs of that WC844 off American Reloading. $17/lb shipped (20% weekend promo) sure looks tempting. Has anyone used their WC844? Is there a cheaper source?
All the usual suspects (Pats, Hi-Tech, Bartletts, etc) want $18-20/lb + shipping, if they even show it in stock. Still kicking myself for not buying that WC846 40 lb keg at the Tulsa show back in 2012... $10/lb! |

I bought a bunch of it a year or so ago. Works great for me. I just use it in a .223 blasting load.

Where can I buy .38 cal Lyman #358156 Thompson design cast bullets
I don't cast so I'm looking for a source where I can purchase #358156 SWC bullets. I am looking for a SWC bullet with 2 crimp grooves so I can load it long in .38 spcl cases. They can be either the solid or hollow point version. Since they'll be shot at .38 spcl +P velocities, plain base is fine, but I would also buy gas checked if that was all that was available. For those unfamiliar, the #358156 is probably the most popular bullet for .38/.357 among casters. It is a semi-wadcutter. It weighs "around" 158 grains in solid point form. It weighs 'about' 150 grains in hollow point form. It has been made in both plain base and gas checked form. It has 2 crimp grooves. The front grooves allows loading to standard overall lengths in ,38 or .357 brass. The lower groove allows loading to .357 overall length in .38 brass. So its great for loading .38 +P or .38/.44 HV loads for use in .357 chambered guns or .38 guns built on heavy .357 frames. Surely some commercial caster sells some variation of this classic bullet. |
