Looking for a 5 gallon bucket of mixed range brass in west Chicago suburbs.
What would be a fair price to pay for a 5 gallon from an outdoor range . They don't allow magnum rounds at the range or center fire rifle ...

Don't think of Midway "clearance sales" as other companies do clearance sales. In most cases, Midway likely just has a large stock of it so they mark some of it down to reduce the stock levels. That is why you see "2 at this price", etc... Once those 2 are sold, it goes back to normal prices. The clearance prices fluctuate. They start to go lower around Thursday/Friday... On Friday, Midway posts new clearance deals. I look at certain clearance categories every Friday. I have learned to never buy anything from Midway until it's on clearance. I get enough on clearance to not need to pay regular prices.

Fin Feather and Fur in Ashland had a bunch last time I looked at their powder section (~3 weeks ago?), big jugs and small containers.  It may be worth giving them a call.

Not sure how the nest feels about GB in general, but this guy is fair and responsive to calls.  Varget @ $27/lb, and Titegroup @ $20/lb, and shipping was reasonable.  I ordered 5lbs of Varget and 2 lbs of Titegroup for $218 delivered with hazmat fees paid.

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=496777774

ETA: I placed an order with him yesterday around 2:30, and FedEx just dropped it off a couple minutes ago!  Pretty fast shipping!

"Brick" usually means a box of 10, 100-primer boxes, so yes, that does mean the price is for 1,000 primers.

Here's my contribution:  San Antonio's Outdoor World actually has powder!  A bunch of Alliant powders, including Bullseye and a number of different Reloader numbers, and several Hodgdon and IMR powders as well.  The 1# jugs they had were priced from around $26 to over $35, so they weren't flying off the shelves, but they were there.  They had a bunch of Hornady bullets, a bunch of Sierra bullets, and a variety of other brands as well.  Not bargain priced, but present.  They even had new brass in a number of calibers from Remington, Winchester and Starline, as well as jugs of processed range brass - I forget the brand.  Too bad their primers are still WAY overpriced (around 5¢ per primer).

Buy five bricks and the $20 charge makes the primers $24/thousand.  Still a great deal.

Are you looking for Winchester BRAND 300 Win Mag brass, or just 300 Win Mag brass?  Winchester makes nice brass most of the time, but they aren't the only game in town, even for brass in calibers they "invented."

Yes. I usually use Lapua or similar, but I can squeeze a few more grains of powder in the Win brass.
