I have a few ATI guns(would have more if not for the new damn laws in NY.....) and I'm dreaimily awaiting the MP40, but another idea struck me and I can't for the life of me figure out why I didn't think of it sooner.

You guys should make one of the Nam era GI's most loved guns!!!!!

The Karl Gustav Swedish K!

Its Marvin approved!

You could do both a pistol version with fixed/folded stock, and a rifle version.

They made one with an awesome supressor.

Spec ops in Nam loved the gun!  the Swiss however didn't approve of the war and stopped selling them to the U.S. so S&W made a copy of it, but nothing is so beautiful as the original!

I've wanted one of these bad boys for YEARS!!!

I'll never buy another ATI gun......GSG-5 all it did was jam, I'm on my fourth 110rd drum and all it does is jam and just bought a STG-44 and its sights are off and shoots a foot low.  I'm done with ATI!

To be true to their namesake - go with an
- FG-42 in 22LR with the same materials as the STG-44 (22).
-Broomhandle Mauser in 22LR
-K98 in 22LR (with nice wood stock please)

Hello folks,

First container loaded yesterday in Germany.  Couple of weeks for import, customs clearance and boom.  We'll be getting them out to our stocking dealers and distributors when they arrive.

You guys should make a version in 9mm and remove the fake suppresor and just do a 16 inch barrel

9mm imports are subject to many more regulations including the sporting purposes clause of 922, so you won't get the look you want.  The .22LR replicas that GSG make are rimfire, so they are no subject to those same regulations and laws.  So no, there won't be a 9mm version of it.

+2!!!

Between the 3 noted above, the C96 Mauser would be my favorite.  I was tinkering with the idea a few months ago, about buying one of the New Airsoft MG42's, that are 1/1 Scale, and made from Metal.  I was going to try and modify it, to accept a Ruger 10/22 Receiver & Barrel assembly.  However, the $630 Cost of the MG42, and the many Mods I would have to do, just didn't seem feasible, if I couldn't get it to work properly.  I didn't want to trash a $630 piece of Hardware, that I wouldn't be able to put back together.

Although..... a 22 Cal MG42 would be COOL!  I've got the Scaled Down Plastic Kit Version on a 10/22 Receiver & Barrel, but it's just not the same as a Full Scale MG42 would be.  There's a Gent on another Forum, that's a MASTER of 22 Cal Rebuilds, and he's got a De-Mil'ed MG42 that he's working on adding 22 Cal Guts to it.  IIRC, his User Name is DEFCON.  He makes some GREAT stuff out of a 22!

Cheers!

De lisle supressed carbine this weighed way to much i would not want to lug her around. The swedish K though that was a fav. of S.F. back in nam and it proved itself time and time again.

I still want a stocked Luger. Throw the fake can I. There to get it over 16 barrel and I'll do the form1, cut and thread it myself.

FOUND IT! The next one they make needs to be a .22 conversion of an Airsoft gun they ALREADY MAKE:

GSG MG-42

I think EVERYBODY NEEDS a .22lr belt fed MG-42,  don't they? I know I do!!!

No, they don't.
They built something with a huge ass carbuncle of a fake silencer hanging off an otherwise great idea.

You sound like you're blaming GSG for having to obey our country's lame ass 16" rifle bbl law.  Quit complaining. Don't like it?  Don't buy one. Or spend $200 and 9 months to SBR one.  Or move to Germany where you can own one sans-can.   Thanks to GSG for making the MP-40!

Really? Thats the only option?
Not a pistol version?  Like many of us hoped for from the start.
That makes a hell of a lot more sense than adding that fake silencer.
They bring to market a repro historical weapon that's historically inaccurate.
It makes no sense. What does that MP stand for anyway?

As I understand the reps post here, the pistol version of the MP40 will be coming out later on (months??) in the US.  Like anything, it takes time.

I think its great that GSG and ATI have put time, effort and huge amount of money and risk to make us products we like.

I'm sure if they could supply us with SBR's over the counter without a huge regulatory hurdle, they would, but they can't.  They have to follow the law and within the laws, they offer nice niche products.

I wouldn't wait for the pistol if I were you. I own one of the rifle versions, (with the aluminum abortion on the front) and have shot it with the stock folded. It was really boring after about the fifth pull of the trigger, unless "Spray and pray" is what you're after. Without the stock it's just a waste of ammo. Better to get the rifle, wait a year and SBR it.

But hey, it's your money.

C 96 or P 38

I love the feel of the STG 44 and the attention to detail but I am not a fan of the safety...BUT it sticks to the detail....

An Fg42 Clone would be just fantastic!!!

Another vote for the FG42, these .22lr clones are the closest many of us can come to owning the real thing.

To those of you who are wanting the MP40, it is fucking sweet.  My only gripe is that is is not in 9mm like the original.

I would like to see them develop a Luger in .22 to go with the mp40 and the STG 44.
