Hey all, I think it's time to have another one of these threads again. What can you guys come up with for the geniuses at GSG to replicate in .22LR?
I'll throw out my all time WANT. A Stoner 63. If it can make it a modular rifle/BREN gun configuration or even a belt fed version, even better. I'd settle for a rifle version all the same. Come on fella's, join in. ka |
^^^^^^^^This has the best chance of making the cut, but will look really stupid with the mandatory fake silencer.
but it'll SBR nicely |

The Thompson was actually what we were going for after the AK before the 1911. Kahr Arms, who bought auto-ordinance, owns the rights to the model. Unfortunately, both sides were unable to come to terms on a licensing agreement that would have produced an affordable product. Sorry guys.
In that case, how about a "suppressed" Sterling? Barrel length? Check. Curved magazine? Check. Bad ass looking? Check.
oh, and while you are at it, how about a Stoner 63? Keep up the great work. ka |

M1 Garand - exact dimensions of originals but lighter in weight. Have it use an existing magazine like the 10/22 rotary. The sights would need to be interchangeable with the original too. The Service Rifle competitors would buy these up in a second! Heck, I'D buy one in a second!
C-96/Broomhandle - just because I want one. A really good P-08 Luger clone would be fun. An FG-42, B.A.R., or BREN would be awesome. |

I think the P-08 luger, FG-42, B.A.R, Sterling smg, M1 Garand, and Stoner 63 would all awesome, and I would probably buy one of each if I could(especially the M1 Garand and FG-42), but what about a step in the opposite direction. What if GSG made a Lee enfield NO4 mk 1 or 2 clone and a Springfield m1903a3 clone. And the M1903a3 is drilled and taped for the redfield mount already so it can be turned into a4 clone if wanted. I also want a UMP, MP7 and a G36 clone but I don't think those would ever last .

Luger! The ones that have been done before fell short in many areas. One as well done as the stg44 would be spectacular.
Another vote for a C96.
That said, is there a possibility of doing belt feds like the old Tippmans? M2 or 1919 in 1/6 scale, etc. |
Actually the Sterling SMG clone would be easy.
Use the mags from the GSG5. Shroud the barrel like the 9mm Type II semi version. I'd jump all over that. If y'all do an M1 Garand put a good full length barrel in it. An FAL might be interesting too. |

Continuing with the trend of WW2 era weapons I think a rimfire PPSH-41 or Sterling would be really cool.
You guys haven't done a bullpup yet & the chances of any of us ever owning a Brit SA 80 is slim to none & slim just left the building.
I think this rifle would be a best seller. |
I'm surprised they didn't do a K98. They could offer different style replica German scope mounts too.
Just looking through the different type of WW2 rifles, some type of Japanese rifle, maybe a takedown would be cool. |
It's going to have to be a gun that is rare. The STG-44 (Actually, GSG made an MP-43/1 ) was perfect. Couldn't have picked a more desirable replica plinker for those of us who cannot afford the real thing or a PTR.
Sterling semi's go for $400. I'd rather get that than a .22 version made out of zamak... Same goes for a Thompson.. rather save my money and get an Auto Ordnance... Think epic and they will come. |
I'm with some of the others... if GSG builds a quality luger.. and keeps it at the same price point as their other .22 pistols.... would be nice..

I'm about to get hated on but if you do the Luger, could you do an arty model with a fake silencer and remove able stock.
I promise I'll send you pics when I SBR it. Really I will. |

The fake suppressor would be easy to remove. If they thread the barrel 1/2x28 where it attaches I would be even happier. |

An M249 SAW. Hands down for me. I would be drooling all over one in .22LR.
P-38. MP-40. Reising SMG.
How about some replica revolvers? Colt Python. S&W M10. |
And FG42 would be great to go along with the StG44, especially with the same, impressive detail that the StG44 was done in. A Bergmann MP-18 with snail drum magazine, the grandfather of the submachine gun, to go along with the grandfather of the assault rifle.
Another vote for the Luger P08 and C96 Broomhandle guns here!
Make the Broomhandle in the $400 range and it would be perfect to mod and make... get ready for it... a blastech DL-44. Thats Han Solo's gun for those non-nerds out there! As for rifles, a Sterling would be great as well. |

A cheap, semi-auto, AM180 or similar that can take AM180 drums. I know the 180 SAR exists but it's at least 2x the cost of what is reasonable ($1200!). AM180 drums suck at feeding from the bottom w/ those adapters but are amazing when used as designed.

Dragunov in 17 HMR /22magnum Please.
I has lots interest and recognition, folks cannot afford the real thing or a clone, can sell lots of accessories copying replica Russian furniture variations, optics, bipods, and so on. 10 round semi auto makes it likable in just about any region. |
