I'm am in for one. Too cool not to try it out.
If it works well, I might get a second just for kicks. |
When can you post some close up pics of its various parts/features. I'd like to see the dust cover open. What about showing the rifle field stripped. You could just put a .pdf of the owners manual on the website.
If we have to wait until summer (more likely winter the way these rollouts go), then we'd love to have something to tide us over til then. |
Chris,
I sent the guys from Midwest Gun over to see you and secure many of the STG44's for our shop!!!! |
Hey check out this video of the STG-44 being fired at the shot show!

Badly want! And the price is great too, I was expecting it be higher.
So from what I gather from the video, the receiver is mostly metal, at least on the outside? |
bgeer,
sorry about taking so long to answer your question. the STG that you see in the pictures above and in the video is an advanced prototype. the gun that we have now has a metal trigger but this may change before it hits the market. |

Please leave everything metal and increase the price by $20 or more. Don't want any plastic if at all possible on the actual rifle itself. I understand if the mags can't be metal, but would be nice if they were. |

This will make the perfect companion trainer to my SHTF, go-to StG44.
Looks good! I know where some of my summer paycheck is going
ETA: Any news on the MP40s? I thought I saw some of those that you guys were thinking of making as well. Would make a good companion to the STG. |
Awesome, reminds me of MOH:Frontline
That is a really nice box too. |
What happened to the MP40, it was being talked about next to the STG-44, but now all the talk seems to be the STG44. I am very excited about the STG44, I think the price is a little steep for a 22 cal though. But was also hoping to see the MP40 released too.

I hope the first ones work well and hopefully it doesn't turn into winter of 2012......spring 2013..... Looks really good guys BTW
YES!!! Any chance of a pre-order to lock one of these bad boys in?
No preorder with us, as we sell through distribution. I'd be wary of any dealer who wants a hefty chunk of change up front for a pre order at this time too, as we sell them to distributors who then allocate them out against their back orders, so there's no saying when a specific dealer will get his. With the GSG-522 and 1911 I heard lots of horror stories of people laying out tons o' cash because their dealer told them they were first in line or whatever with a distributor but they really turned out to be further down the food chain. Once they start to roll tho, I will be importing as many a month as GSG can make going forward, so eventually everyone will get them.
NIce; now make it in 7.62X39 and you got yourself a...
Wait for it... Wait for it... Wait for it... GAME CHANGAH! |
If it drops to the 400 range, I'd be game...$600 .22lr is high...this or WASR AK...decisions decisions.
I ordered on today. My gun store sells lots of GSG 522's, 1911's, and AK's, so I'm sure they'll be treated well by the distributor. What's the latest on when the distributors start getting them?

"rumors" that I was told by my ATI dealer was July/August 2012. At the shot show, they said July, but that they were giving themselves lots of cushion for development hiccups, so it could be sooner. I'm wondering if the AtI folks here can give us any newer info. Hopefully, development and manufacturing preparation has gone smoothly. I'm relying on German engineering and American business skill combining to get this thing into my hands soon! |

Well, we're still on schedule. I have a group of them on the way for our own internal testing, the final torture tests. Then the first 1000 will go on the water, which will probably be May, so quite possibly here by the end of May. Of course, nothings set in stone until they actually physically leave the port, but as it stands, we are still right on the schedule we planned.

Glad to be of assistance. |

lol, thanks for the offer, but its all in house by staff and gunsmiths to get out any final kinks prior to full blown production.
Did you stick with metal triggers, or go plastic? Remember... we want metal.
wow that was a hard video to watch. I stopped after 20 seconds.
My local dealer is already bugging his suppliers trying to get a couple of the STG's (1 for me and 1 for him) when they come out, so here's hoping!

Will you guys have one of these at the NRA convention here in St. Louis this weekend? God I hope so .
Yes sir, we will have one there at the show. Stop by our booth to see it and get the chance to meet the lovely STG-44 model Jessica.
I'll be there too but I'm considerably less comely. |

Jessica and you guys will likely be stop #1 for me Friday morning. Dang this is worse than Christmas morning only I'm a heckuva lot older. |

ATI you people made my day with this. I can not wait to pick one of these up. If my eyes aren't failing me you included the scope rail detente on the rear sight block! Does this mean
you might produce a rail to fit there? Please see this webpage that shows the real scope mount in place http://claus.espeholt.dk/mp44.htm thanks in advance I just can't wait to get my hands on one of these. |

Saw em both at the NRA convention but only got to hold one of them!!!
And it was awesome. |

Jessie and the STG44. The rifle seems well made and all metal the wood is a bit rough on the testing gun but the production guns are supposed to have all new wood. http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx260/101akshooter/100_0999.jpg That pic gives me all the wood I need. |
