Tomorrow will be my first time ever attending Blade Show so I really do not know what to expect. I plan to bring $400 in cash and the first booths Ill be hitting are ESEE, DPx, Microtech and Benchmade to start with. Of course, Id like to buy a lot tomorrow but that isnt going to happen due to my fund.

With the budget I have, what are some knives that you all would go after? Everything I buy, will be used and carried.

If you want a folder, Chris Reeve. Fixed blade, Busse.

Tops Devils Claw legal almost everywhere I grind off the rear serration.
Benchmade Infidel if your state allows it.

Grab a DPx folder and see how may different positions your hand works WELL on the handle. Try different holds, working different directions, even changing positions one handed.

Scrap Yard, Swamp Rat, Busse Combat.

REGARDING BUSSE:

They now run two lines:

Busse Combat
Busse Combat Battle Grade

The "Battle Grade" uses "cheaper" steel (SR101...same as their two sibling companies Scrap Yard & Swamp Rat).
Regular Busse uses INFI...which is somewhat legendary.

For me, personally:

Esee Junglas in venom green.

Spyderco Native 5 in S110V.

Spyderco Manix 2 in S110V and G-10 cobalt blue scales, like the above.

ESEE 4 or 6HM. I would take a real good look at the Bark River stuff too, I've been looking at the Bravo 1 and Fox River.

Freeman Outdoor IMO has pretty much the best folder at the show.
