As usual, a broken spring. It's one of the bright orange USAF issue switch blades.   I know I'll spend more than the old knife is worth, but it was Dad's and there is a history behind it.  Anyone got any recommendations where I could either send it to or find the parts and resources I could do it myself?  I don't mind buying a few specialty tools.  I'm pretty handy with stuff like this.

Someone decided it would be a good idea to deactivate mine by popping out the release button.
