A few i just finished. I call it the Reaper.

7 3/4" total length with 3 1/2" chisel grind blade. 3/16" 1084 with etched and stonewashed finish. OD green micarta handle and Brown micarta handle. Exposed tip on pommel, and chainring bolts securing handles on.

I like this design so much I am going to make myself one in 3V for my warbelt.

Thanks for looking.

That's just etching on the blade, right?  Not laminate?

Nice work., though..

Correct. Etched, tumbled, then etched with mustard for the pattern.

Thanks.

Smithy how much time do you have in a knife when you get done?

Its hard to get an accurate time because I work on them when I find the time. So i might be in the shop for 2 hours 1 day and then 3 hours the following week, and then bring them into the house for various other things. I would say on most of them 8 -10 hours. A lot quicker than I was a few years ago when I started, and a lot better product.

I don't hand finish the blade. I take them to around a 300-400 grit finish on the belt then blast or etch or stone wash or a variation of all. I give them a good "user" finish and it keeps the price low, helps me get them finished quicker, and most importantly the end user isn't scared to use the knife.

I think I have made around 100 knives. So I still have a lot to learn, but every knife I make is better than the last.
