It helps if you know what the alloying elements and carbon content are. This will help determine the appropriate forging, normalizing and heat treating procedures needed to properly work the steel..

Material is 5160H 100ksi residual yield strength.

Knifemakers love 5160. Best knife I ever made was in that.
I'm sure you can move it with no trouble at all. |

but you will need a subscription (paid) to sell there. I don't sell anything there because I'm not paying them an extortion fee. Their board, their rules.....I'm following them....but I refuse to play their game. |
