Sandvik 12C27 is Sandvik's most well-rounded knife steel with excellent edge performance allowing razor sharpness, high hardness, exceptional toughness and good corrosion resistance.

Can anyone tell me if the statement above holds water?

I love it on my Mora.

I use it as a general use knife and it has held up great. Fairly easy to sharpen and holds an edge for a decent amount of use.

It's okay. I have a couple different Sandvik steel blades. I actually wish someone would make a realistically priced hard use knife out of it that wasn't't priced stupid so I could get a better feel of how it actually performs. I've only used mine for light and medium duty cutting and it sharpens up really nice.
