but their entire product line is made in Italy, as I understand it, and 9CR15MoV doesn't seem all that bad a steel type even if it is chinese made, also as I understand it. I don't know how well it'll hold an edge, but it came sharp enough to shave my arm hair, and it's not going to be my daily carry or even a hard use blade. It's mostly going to be to collect and as a show piece. I'm not too picky when it comes to steel types and own an example of most of the common types used today. In my amateur opinion, this seems good enough for me.

Thank you so much bud! That's a Jonathan Mcnees Necker. I've had her for about 5 or 6 years. He makes cool stuff. The folder is made by him too. Bottom one came today. It's a Fiddleback Forge Monarch.

That one on the clam shells is a John Barker Doberman. 4" blade, 9" OAL. S35vn and green canvas micarta with red liners. Tapered tang.

Bought her maybe 4 years ago. Johns books are now closed except for an occasional auction or something similar. Can't even find his knives used. It's nuts. I wish I could find a folder of his 2nd hand. They're bad ass.

Smithy is his name on here. His website is Dynamikblades.com. He posts some of his work every now and then. I finally decided to order something from him. He was an absolute pleasure to deal with. It's a part time gig for him, so you may have to wait a month or two; however, most "custom"/non-mass production knife makers have this common. Can't wait until I get mine. Very reasonable prices as well.
