Looks like demand has finally slowed to meet supply.  That's going to force Serbu to lower their price on their 50A.

I'll believe that when I see it. Just because a few of these are being sold close to or at normal dealer cost doesn't mean the competition is going to respond by lowering their price.

I worked at one of the big distributors the first year Serbu was at SHOT pimping their semi. Dealer cost was 1500-2000 less than the 82 if I remember right. That gap had closed quite a bit by the time they actually shipped any out.

Probably one dealer lowering price on stock he is sitting on. Was hoping to make a killing on "Buy it before it's banned" and no one bought in on it.

CDNN had them at the same price for a while and so did a couple other shops. I am wondering if the sales on them have just really slowed down.

Grab a gun same price now $6999 - any thoughts on this price and the general direction?

If you want one it's a decent price for sure. While more and more companies are selling them for this price I can't imagine it getting much lower and certainly not anywhere near the 5k I want them to be at

Dealer cost on them 10 years ago was right around 6,000 so they hold pretty steady.

This is now a sale for $7499 instead of $6999 -- that just changed in the last 2 weeks or so.

Just picked one up for $6829 shipped to my FFL.  Best price I have seen so I jumped on it.

Cruising the 50 cal boards now to find ammo and glass.

www.budsgunshop.com has them cheaper than that but I would have had to pay taxes, so the next cheapest with no tax was my alternative.

Buds has it for $6674 shipped!

Yeah we have to pay sales tax on transfers now. It sucks. Especially on the big stuff like this.

Prepper Gunshop has one listed on gunbroker. M82a1 29"barrel for $7,049. Think this is good deal or you think I can find one cheaper with some time? Too bad I missed the $6600 buds deal.

Never ordered anything from BUDs. Have heard some bad experiences in past. Kinda makes me nervous for such a big ticket item but if that price is truly what you can get thats a great deal. Would consider the layaway option so I could sell my M99 for some extra cash in the meantime.

Others experience with BUDs been good?

I've never ordered from them but they are a HUGE gunshop that sells a LOT of guns.  I'm sure there are some bad experiences with a place that does that big of volume but I would order from them with no questions asked   Overall they seem to do well.

They are only about an hour from me but I still haven't been there in over 10 years.

Looks like an outdated link. The Go to Store button take you over to Bud's $8846 page.

I'm not affiliated with the company - just passing along a deal.

So close to pulling trigger on m82 tomorrow. Shot my M99 yesterday and remembered how much I love shooting the .50, more fun than full auto I think. Anybody shot M99 and M82a1? Is the m82 really that much softer shooting than m99? I don't feel like M99 has much recoil at all. Any reason I should get both or sell M99? I know with proper loads M99 is more accurate but Im generally only shooting for blasting stuff 100-500 yards.

I guess in shortI is juice worth the squeeze for upgrade?

I never felt like it was super soft and like you my 99s never bothered me recoil wise.

I will probably get another 82 down the road but not for a while. I loved the gun but felt it was more of a novelty than the 99. Recently got another 99 and still love them. Maybe a 82cq is what I really need

Want to try a Serbu semi but have never come across one in the wild.

Thanks. What Im wondering is the novelty of semi auto $7000 .50 going to wear off soon since I already have my M99 for kicks? Just trying to get any last purchases before price increase in the election fall. I guess I could always sell it later for a small loss and just keep my M99.

First world problems.

Both guns can be had for pretty close to what they cost 6-8 years ago. If Barrett ever drops the 82 and only offers the expensive 107's it will suck but until then the price remains pretty stable.

Main problem I am having is that we now have to pay sales tax on transfers so I have to cough up several hundred just for the tax man. Sticks in my craw.
