The blasted bugger got away from me somewhere, and hours of fruitless searching have left me screwless.

My google-fu is apparently weakening, as I cannot find one of these anywhere, including Armalites site.

Anybody got a source on one?

Darren Prince makes (used to?) a knurled replacement for easy removal.
(He did the bipods for Armalite for awhile, I think they may be superseded by a newer model now)

I bet Armalite would probably just mail you one if you asked nice.

Thanks guys, I'll try the number first tomorrow. I also found a contact email addy for Prince, I appreciate the tip about the knurled screw.

Really appreciate it.

Thanks, I have no idea how long that's been going on. Fixed now.

Can I get in to the party also?  I didn't lose mine but I seem to always forget the Allen wrench when I need it. . I posted this same question here 2 years ago and was told to email Mr prince but he never responded. .

You only need an allen wrench ONCE, to loosen it the first time...

After that just put it in with your fingers.
It doesn't need to be tight.

I've gone cross country with AR-50's and shot all over and they have never loosened up or fallen out.

And then it just comes back out with your fingers.

(If you still want the cool knurled knob just for having, sure get one, but you don't "need" it)

I was waiting for someone to comment about this - sounds like an advertisement on a bathroom wall - but actually is the phone number for one of the best AR-50 gunsmiths in the world and thee best in the FCSA membership.
