Kid i know wants to trade an assembled ar for it. His ar  chokes on hp so now he wants to get rid of it smh
He claims this 50 has a redesigned bolt.
I cant tell if its a vulcan or not but judging by trade valuation im thinking it is

Scope incl.

That sure does look like a gen2 Vulcan bolt to me.

Unless you want to turn it into a lamp it is worth nothing.  Unfixable.  Run away.

But I'd give him $50 for it to make a kickass livingroom floor lamp out of it.

I don't think that is the same locking mechanism as the last one posted here that exploded. If I remember right, it was threaded with some slots cut out.

ETA: Yeah, Vulcan type one. I think the guy lost a thumb or something...

Still looks like a cheap POS and you couldn't pay me you pull the trigger with my head next to it.

"Kid" should get a quality rifle he can afford in a caliber he can afford to shoot.

Thanks for replies. Ive told dude not to trade,  hopefully he will listen.
A vulcan blew at the range i go to (hotwells). the ro had to apply direct pressure while they evacd him.
Shrapnel to the shoulder or something

Thats gonna leave a mark. I have never been to hotwells. Always go to ASC when in need of longer range. Is that the privet club?

The problem is not only questionable  metals in the receiver and bolt, but the trigger group and sear.

When the trigger allows the sear to release the firing pin while being cocked the gun can fire out of battery.
Not a classic overpressure kaboom, but a situation where the bolt is unrestrained by the lugs and exits out the back.

I would not fire any stock Vulcan.
