Double recoil lugs? One front and one rear might work... Would need to be bedded solidly though or it would beat a stock to pieces.

I agree that you need a recoil lug at least in the front. I have a shell holder action and it has a big recoil lug in the front that rests in a cut out in the stock with 2 mounting bolts.

I'll mention the double recoil lug idea.
competitor, so you just have a single front lug with two bolts holding the action in and that is all? What kind of stock are you using? |

To get double lugs to work, the stock bedding would have to be superb.... A front lug with a bolt (Ala AR50) should be plenty strong if done properly. |

There is a single lug at the front of the action with a bolt through it and a bolt behind the trigger. I use State Arms stocks. |
