That first one looks like a Norman Rockwell print!Nice.

What happened to the striker??

Link Posted: 11/1/2012 10:05:53 PM EDT
[#13]
The original owner IIRC fired probably 200-300 rounds through it, and I believe all had hard military primers. That and I believe the OW dry fired the gun a lot. Needless to say my friend tried shooting it for the first time a few months ago and 6 of 10 rounds failed to fire. Very minimal indentation on the primer. Ordered up a new striker for $25.00. New striker is .03" longer than original striker.. Shot 27 rounds through it and no issues

sweet!  how do you like the scope?

I really like the scope!

The .10mil turrets and matching mil reticle are nice! So far she holds zero flawlessly. I feel it is a really good value for the money!

I'll put it to you like this. I'm so pleased with how nice this little $299 scope is, that I've decided to keep it on the rifle and use the over $2k I was going to spend on a scope to build a tack driving MEGA MATEN 308 AR10.

The Cant Lock Extension is for the APA AR50 Bi-Pod is $39.95 shipped.

The AR50 Bi-Pod is $250 shipped.

The quality of the APA Bi-Pos is top of the line and it's built like a tank!

Simple but lethal. Would one need such protection? Which leads me back to the M-2 discussions. THere are some aroundl, but these guys were speaking of places to shoot it. As it is now in NJ there is room, but no one takes kindly to this caa. The hangups in our country about mags, assault rifles etc. When one hears assault rifle they think "fully auto" and the senators are not bothering to describe the difference. The general public goes around with a bunch of lies about firearms.]

About $3k :

http://grabagun.com/arml-ar50-50cal-31-blk-blk.html

+ Accessories:

http://alliedprecisionarms.com/

With every accessory on the APA page, you're around $3,700-ish. That is everything (everything they make for the AR50) including the carry bag.

After that, you'll need a scope and rings. Can't price that because choices vary wildly. But you can get a SWFA SS 20x42 mil/mil for $299 + some rings of your choice.

Used to be a shoot at Waco, now I think your nearest is Shreveport LA.

Check the www.fcsa.org website for dates of matches and Fun Shoots.

I've been to the Fun Shoot in Marksville LA on Bryan McCanns place and it is definitely FUN.
Targets at 450, 600, 800, 900, 1000, & 1760 yards.
Bowling balls were targets used (same size as human head, as I was told by a rather crusty Marine Sniper)
