Been about 8 years since I Form 1'd and the game has changed. Back then I used ADCO. I know there's new guys out there now. Would like one that engraves the Form 1 info onto the barrel. I've heard a lot of good about IGF's work on HKs. Their website doesn't mention SCARs. Any help/input is appreciated.

I had Jarod at PMM cut my barrel to 10.5. He did a great job and the rifle runs fine.

I used FN.  Used, like new short barrels were sold at Knob Creek for $500.  I bought one for the 16 and the 17.

PMM cut my 16 to 10.5", cut my 17 to 13", and cut, pinned, and welded another of my 16's to 14.0".  They are terrific and fast.

How much disassembly does PMM require for the gun to sbr it and re-thread?

Marvin Pitt at Nefarious Arms.  He has done 4 for me that have been flawless.  [email protected]

I just form 1 and factory 10" barrel assy.  Marvin Pitts seems to get the most nods for a cut barrel though.

I'm assuming you don't want to buy a factory 10" barrel assembly from FN due to the cost? May be a better alternative long term. You can quickly concert your rifle to a Title 1 weapon and press should you need to take it from a free state or need the extra velocity from the 16" barrel.

Happen to know who was selling them? I'd love to pick up a used SCAR-H 13" barrel...
