for $3300.
FO or NO ?

regardless of the current political climate & in my research I don't see these falling much below his asking price.
Seems SRP is $2799. dealers and gunbroker NIB $2900 to $3800
Thoughts?

Your crazy to ever pay over $3,000. CRAZY.

These will be sub $2700 within 6 months. They are already falling since the California cutoff.

And MSRP is not $2799. Any dealer telling you that is full of shit or has a really bad distributor.

I bought a nib FDE 17 for $2500ish a few years back, I wouldn't pay much more than that for one.

I would hold out if you can and bet you can snag one for 2650-2700 by late summer. I got mine for $2500 a while back but I hear $2500 is the current dealer price but could be wrong on that. What it comes down to is the extra $200-$600 worth it to you. Just remember off the back you NEED to get a Geissele Trigger [$325max].

No.

Between the rumors of them being "Made in USA", and the Euro falling against the Dollar (if Belgian), the next run shouldn't raise in price.

Think they were just $2999 on PSA with free shipping

My dealer said they could get me one for $50 over what they paid if I wanted one

I have an FDE one on backorder with Brownells for $2805 shipped with my Edge membership and a $100 off coupon.  They don't charge until it ships.

I already have an FDE 17, so I'm in no rush.  Just going to outfit it with PMM rails and no optic.  Going for super light.

Just depends how much you want one.  It sounds like the reason they are scarce is that they were being used to fill military contracts first.

Low supply and high demand deems prices we see now.  I got lucky and got mines before nation wide stock was zero and I paid $2895.  I like the stock trigger on my Scar and I came close to buying the G trigger many times but passed.

Same here.  After using the MK17 suppressed and in full auto, I was hooked and bought a 17s in the EE just before a brief trip back to CONUS.

I paid over 3k as well but the rifle came with superscar trigger, 9 mags, vltor stock pmm rail delete and mlok bottom rail all new in the package. Totally worth it I think. My LGS had one for $3200.00 and had go through hell and highwater to get that one. It all depends on where you are.

No, I got mine at 3,200 but they can be had for 2,900 at most shows these days.

In the end, its your money.  If youre feeling impatient and youre willing to spend it... go for it.
There are people who would tell you spending under $3k is too much too.  Dont let people tell you spending over $3k is too much on something you want.  This is America, damn it!

I will say that, TO ME, it seems like a lot of people who end up saying the gun is overrated or whatever, are just people who regret what they spent on it.  I dont know what they were expecting it to do just because it had a high price tag on it though.

A handled one at a local shop about 2 wks ago. I looked at the price tag and saw $5k on it. I asked the shop owner WTF? It has a $3300 MSRP.
He started in about how they are going unavailable on the market due to FN getting a ton of new contracts in Europe due to terror stuff.
I rolled my eyes, handed him back the rifle, said have a nice day, left the shop, and bought one else where for $2900.
As others have stated.....this rifle is not worth more than $3k.....at least not to me personally.

That's what I was thinking. Even back during the panic gun buy era, I never saw a $1700 - $2000 stupid tax on a rifle. Maybe $500 - $600
If I ever go into the shop again, I may let him know that I got mine for $2940 shipped. Hopefully his $5k Scar 17 is still on the wall.

Have a little patience you can get one in the upper 2k range. Have a bit more patience and you can likely get in the mid 2k range. I picked up my NIB FDE 17 about 2 years ago for 2.5k even when they were running the Geissele trigger promo. You can have it now or you can have it cheap, there's no right answer to that but give it time and you can save most of a grand.

3300 you could buy a LaRue rifle for that much.
