Recoil spring installation for a FNC?
I want to install a new recoil spring for my FNC.  It should straightforward, but with the non-availability of FNC parts, I’m always paranoid about working under the hood.

Has anyone swapped out their recoil spring, and any tips to share?

It is a relatively straight forward process.  Pull back on the return spring to reduce the tension on the pin. Support the return guide rod on both sides of the pin hole (to avoid bending the rod).  Drive the pin out with a punch.  Make sure to not lose the small parts!  Assemble in reverse.  It helps to have an extra set of hands.

See the guide rod on the right for reference...

where did you get a recoil spring and what made you think it's worn out?
