Brag thread-  I grabbed a FDE 17S with only 40 rounds put through it for $2,350 OTD last year.  Can anyone beat that?

I locked in at 2500 NIB, and while that was a decent deal, some of you are making me pretty jelly.

Not a damn thing in my opinion. As I'm not going to the desert any time soon to do battle I prefer the black guns.

I wouldn't really consider it a deal but found a Black 17S in stock at LGS for $3100 OTD. I couldn't be happier. I shot it for the first time yesterday and I was very impressed. I have a MREX rail going on it this weekend and about to order a Gisselle SS trigger.

I doubt seriously anybody can beat my deal.
http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1821500_Remember_that_SCAR_17S_Black_Friday_raffle_.html
$25.00 raffle tickets

$ 1.87 state tax

$26.87

I forgot the $2 handling until I read that thread again. $28.87
And it was while FN had the "buy a SCAR we send you a Geissele Super Scar trigger FREE" promotion. I filled out the form, they sent me the trigger.

I've been an m1a die hard for years.

I don't say this scar is light years ahead because I have 3k wrapped up in it. I say it's the best because it is.
Sold one m1a off, the other collects dust bunnies.

Traded for mine:

Arsenal SLR 107- I paid $850 with 8 mags
CMMG MK3 308- I paid $1100ish
Aimpoint H-1- I paid $400

I also threw in 5 308 Pmags. So I got mine for $2400ish. Came with QD sling mounts and Geissele Super Scar.

Yea, right.

Here's what mine will do with 20 year old reloads for one of my Sako 308's......still haven't worked up a load just for this rifle. Not sure I ever will.

Believe it or not.....nope. Hornady flat base spire point 150gr, 49.5gr Win 748, Win brass. Seated at cannelure, no crimp. Old hunting load I worked up for a Sako in the mid 1990's. Honestly was stunned it worked so well in my SCAR but was thrilled.
