I think I know the answer but I want to double check and triple check before I put my can on this rifle.

Take the brake off my Scar, put my AAC 51T FH on with no shims, jamb nut, etc, torque FH to specified FT-LBS, screw on can, shoot and smile.  Is that correct?

Yup.

I would also clean the threads with acetone or mineral spirits and use Rocksett on them prior to installing the AAC 51T flash hider.

Are you right handed or left handed?

Trigger hand.

I cried posted this on fnforums, a few claiming this is normal.
I'm going back today, switching from Privi to good old SA, we will see.

It gets dirty in the back but I never noticed that on my hands, adjusting the gas jets may help but thats a bit excessive looking.

Title would lead me to assume SDN but that looks longer like a 762-SD?

I'm debating getting a 762 SD @ $522 or a surefire 762 RC at $1200, I have an SDN6 already it's ok but i'm kind of over AAC mounting systems and both cans are longer than the SDN more volume i assume will be slightly quieter or at least lower pitched.

Anyone do the same thing with the Brakeout 2 that doesn't need indexing?

I'm running the same set up and I made a bunch of phone calls to AAC about which FH to use. I was told I needed the shallow socket FH to get a better lock up on the slim shoulder on the barrel and I kept being sent the deep socket and got a little paranoid about it. I was assured by AAC that you can use either the deep or shallow socket FH. Make sure to use the rock set and no shims. Has ran fine now for several month with no signs of any strikes. I was like you and paranoid about destroying a 600 dollar can.

I was told by AAC not to use the Brakeout Comp or the blackout brake. I was told to only use the Flash hider model. I have seen people running them anyways but I myself did not want to go against what AAC was telling me.

My hands stay clean, same SCAR17 w/ SDN-6. Never ran Prvi through it though. Stupid question but you are switching the gas regulator to "suppressed" with can on? 17's blowback seems to be less than other firearms to me.

Negative, not switching anything.

It seemed to lessen a lot after the first time out- kinda like it sealed up inside or something.

A lot better now, still a tiny bit but nothing like day 1.

You should be using the suppressed setting with a can.
