Hello all, I had a few questions about a PS90 SBR build.

I bought a billet PS90 receiver I plan on filing a Form 1 to build a SBR, but for the build itself I am unsure which path to take.

1) Buy a new PS90 and send to barrel off to TROSUSA to have it cut down and threaded. Drop new barrel and SBR receiver into stock.

2) Buy a CMMG 10.4in barrel and all required parts, assemble myself.

However, I am not sure all the parts I need to buy or how available they are. I assume I might actually end up spending more sourcing the parts than just buying a complete rifle. I know some people prefer the earlier generation trigger packs and a Gen1/2 pack would be nice but isn't required.

Any insight would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

It would be REAL expensive to build a PS90.

I would locate a PS90 on Gunbroker or wherever I could find one cheap (around $1,100).

There is no need for a Gen 1 or Gen 2 Trigger Pack unless you are wanting to risk twenty years in Club Fed.

On the barrel, your best bet is to send a factory PS90 barrel to TROS.

Cool, thank you for the reply. As for the trigger pack, I figured they just used more metal parts and the later generations were for cost cutting. I'll pick up a NIB PS90 on Gunbroker!
