Got my wife a PS90 and need some optics. The Black Reticle is $707 on the FN web page and the Green is $219. WTF? What is the difference and where would I find one to finger? Spoke to a few shops in the Denver area but no luck at all. Any details would be appreciated.

I think the black reticle is also known as the Secret Service reticle.  I read somewhere that the Secret Service requested it due to the standard reticle being hard to see "washout" on all the white government buildings in DC.

The green, white, and black reticles all have a TINY field of view.

Check out the TROS web page and their scope mounts.

The green sight is fiber optic, where the black ring is a lot more complex (tritium, etc)

Go look at the Fn Forum and Gunbroker. You can get a plack ringed sight for $400 or so if you wait a little while

Also black recitcle dot is 3.5 MOA and the circle around it is 20 MOA.  IF that helps any.  Green, not sure but same?

The black reticle is fantastic.

I wouldn't pay an extra $700 for it though.

I got my PS90 USG for just $1,200 total but that was several years ago.

This. I have an OD green ps90 sbr with the black sight. I like it, but if it didn't come with the gun I'd just throw a PA red dot on it.

Unless your dead set on one of those, dont forget about a nice red dot. There simple, cheaper, & a better field of view

Is that the factory rail sight you sight is on or an aftermarket ?

It looks like it's setting lower.

I use a REM-T3 on a white reticle.  Works awesome for me.

Edit -

I went with blue and it's super bright.

I think my original topic was like How do you like the Black reticle and where do you find one? The PS90 is a nice gun but trying to work out a sight system for it sucks. I see some places make a top rail that will fit a small ACOG so that may be the way to go because FN is not helping to put their sight systems on dealer shelves. WTF, Over?

FN no longer offers the Ring Sight on the PS90, only on the P90 PDW.

The Ring Sight is manufactured by Ring Sight of Great Britain, and no they don't sell at retail.

THIS may be a solid alternative, it's close in appearance and size. And it might be superior.

This. Buy a cheap white ring sight and get a REM-T3 for $90. It changes it completely.

Which rail is this, and how pleased are you with the Burris?  I've narrowed my choices down to either the Fastfire 3 or the new Primary Arms advanced micro.

Thanks!

I have two PS90s - one with a flat top, which wears a Primary Arms micro red dot, and one with the factory FN red dot (which, I believe, is actually by C-More). I do not like the fov of the integrated sights at all and would highly recommend another option.  For the record, I scored the flat top for a dirt cheap price and understand they can be had for under $1K now. good luck!

Good luck on that now, FN put through a Massive price increase.

L.E. Price is now $1,121.
