I am currently running a T-1 on my 17 but the accuracy it has makes me want to put a magnified optic on it. I have shot several MOA or just over at 200 yards with the dot and irons so I would expect that consistently with a 10x optic. My purpose for my 17 is a do all rifle but a red dot lacks the precision shooting especially at distance and optic is heavier, not as good up close, and has no night capability. No $ for an Elcan right not but man the accuracy potential I see needs magnification to take advantage of that. I also would like to get into night vision before anything else also. Anyone else feel this way?

There's almost nothing better than wasting money on stuff that will let you own the night! Unless you are wanting to really reach out there a 3x magnifier on your Scar's T-1 may help. I don't have one because I don't have the money but I'd love to own the Vortex Razor HD 1-6 scope. It's significantly cheaper than an Elcan.

Honestly the elcan is a a great x4 but x1 is not that great.  I've tried about everything then finally settled on a Meopta Tactical Kdot. So far I like better than any of the others!

What is pictured second from the top?

I just shot out to 350yards with my T-1 yesterday and while I hit my man size target 4 out of 4 it was really hard to see.

That one is out of my price range even tho it would be awesome to have a themal!

How does the Meopta compare to an aimpoint on 1x illuminated?

I am running either a Vortex Viper PST 1-4x24 or my Vortex Viper 6.5-20x44 in LaRue QD mounts and just keep dopes for all your optics.

The Meopta max brightness is on par with the T-1 setting 11. It's very much daylight bright in lighting conditions.
