So this cheek riser is very close to becoming reality.  I just need the funds.  Think we could scrap together enough interest with a kickstarter type fundraiser to make it happen?

I have created a revised version that is adjustable to a .5, .75 and 1" rise.  Will not work with double mag.

I would need to get about 100 pre-orders for about 75-100 bucks.

What do you guys think?

I'm not sure Rockethub is still accepting firearms projects, and after ARFCOM's disastrous experience with Rockethub 80% lower projects, that might not be the way to go.  Some folks have done pre-orders w/ Site Staff blessing in the past, but there are a lot of risks.  Could you 3D print some of those one @ a time, & either test market @ a gun show, or print say 50, & test market on a simple web site?  Then if you sell out, go for a mold.

Here are some updated cheekriser images.  Adjustable to .5", .75" and 1".  Will not work with double magazine or some rear sling mounts.

That sucks - so, they would not work with the Urban ERT sling, then:

Would work if you removed that strap that runs up and down.

Its all sewn together. I'd have to remove the entire harness. It looks like some possible pushing of the material aside from that last screw might be possible - to get your riser to fit

Put a relief notch in the riser so the strap can run underneath it.

Yea I thought of that but injection molding rules make that kinda tricky.  Im kinda feeling bummed about the whole injection molding thing anyway so....  Could certainly add the slot into an SLS prototype like what Ive been doing already.

Yea, that sling setup is pretty popular among many PS90 users. If it could be incorporated, that would be awesome!

If someone could measure it up and make a sketch for me I can see if it could be made to work.  Or if someone could point me at the most popular ps90 sling I may just buy one.

I would suggest contacting him and getting the measurements directly from them.

I know the owner of the site a bit online, and he is always happy to answer questions. He'll even do some customization for you that's not listed as a standard website item if you ask.

Otherwise, PM me and I'll do my best to measure it using a ruler.

Had a buddy of mine with a SBR PS90 and a MakerBot print this out for me.  Not the Best quality 3D print or photo but he said it fit great!  Hope to have my next round of actual prototypes here next week.

OK now thats the PS90 to use to take measurements for a front handguard.

Thats the original, non tri rail PS90.

I and many others have that version and would love to get one of your front end handguards.

An update on the barrel shroud. So far the only real concern that most people have voiced is that the slots in the barrel are located beneath my shroud. May cause issues with heat/flame on the shroud or dirt under the shroud.

I put together a shorter variant that solves this problem. I don't think it looks AS good but it is more practical I suppose.

In the process of shortening the shroud the bottom rail had to get smaller. This made me think about that lil bottom rail. Is it really necessary? What if I just removed it and smoothed the area out and added some features to make that area better suited as a forward grip (see image). Thoughts?

Got in my new shroud and cheek riser prototypes yesterday.  Not the best pics but fit and function is awesome.  Riser gives perfect eye alignment for my red dot and mag clears nicely when removed.  Gonna sand and paint up everything for a clean look.

I wanted to show you guys a design I am working on and get your feedback.

Basically it is a plastic barrel shroud that mounts to the gun itself, not the barrel. It would mount to the side rail screw locations on top and have a thumbscrew on bottom so that field strip would remain quick and painless. Rails on all 4 sides.

What do you guys think? Any suggestions/additions?

Nice work, Spooky...

Slightly off topic, but do you happen to have the dimensions of these two bolts? And also, whether it's safe to just remove them? I don't think they're holding anything internal but want to make sure.

Here are some updated photos of my freshly painted PS90 1" fixed cheek riser and custom barrel shroud/rail setup. The corrected eye level and the added forward grip really add a lot to this rifle.

A first look at my PS90 fixed and adjustable cheek risers side by side. The fixed is 1" tall while the other is infinitely adjustable between .5" and 1".
