THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT well the DUMBASSES sent me some sort of a tool and not a magazine catch spring... I am told by someone at another forum it's a tool for the SCAR. anyone know what this is? so I can ID it to the cust service now while I bitch? it's a shame because I got it as a possible duty gun. and here I am trying to fix a mag catch that flew out after 3 days of ownage.

wuuu saaaa
apparently it is the new design for the spring. it's one helluva upgrade and change. lol the five seven had a problem with bullets that seated too far forward in the mag to catch the hook on the spring and pull it out. they made this design which bites into the new mag button from both sides (compared to one before) and is flared forward at the top so bullets can't hook it and pull it out. here are some pics for people in the future that are dumbfounded.
trying to hook it. Not happening
new button vs old button (not compatible)
here is the old spring design and you can see how it can hook to the top of the spring and pull it out ![]() |

It didn't look like the old spring but that makes a lot of sense why they changed it. |
