THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT I'm about to take the plunge and buy a black 16S. Before I buy it, I wanted to see if anyone had heard about potential price reduction or general thoughts on the matter. I know prices have already fallen greatly from 4K to 2.3K or so and was wondering if anyone foresaw a further drop. I would love to pick one up for 1999.00. Thanks. |

$2145.00 was dealer cost on the 16 I bought last summer and the 17 was around $2500.00 that I bought around mid December 2011. Not quite sure you can buy a new 16 for $1850.00 unless someone is really hurting for money. Good luck with your purchase you won't be disappointed.

Picked up a NIB 16S FDE from a private party for $2100 at last week.
Keep looking but SCAR holds its value so well don't expect significant reduction on used ones either. |

I called GT in Dallas this morning, no tan 16s. I also called CDNN to see what their deal was since they sent out an email with a link to their new catalog which has the scar 16 in it. The CDNN guy said they were out but expected more in 8 weeks. I asked about the price and he said they would be 2500.00.
