Leupold mk6 with light weight rings from Badger Ordinance I think.

13" barrel pictured; I also have a 16" barrel.

Geissle Super SCAR trigger mandatory since the factory SCAR triggers suck.

Magpul grips, MOE and RVG.  Parker Mountain Machine sells MOE's that they mill to fit the SCAR.  One is pictures on my 16s; the one of my 17s I dremmeled myself.

AAC flash hider that will be swapped very soon for a Surefire FH762K since I have a can for that mount.

BFG padded Vickers sling; i'll be changing it over to the same sling mounting points as my 16s in the near future.

I just put a 1.40 or 1.45 gas control screw in the 13" barrel this morning since it was short stroking with some Wolf 308 which apparently is weak-sauce.

No that mount will not make it 16". Not even close.

What length did you chop it to? And what brake is that, just the standard 51t? The first chamber looks a little longer than mine for some reason. Or is that the new 90t?

It looks like my 7.62 51t brakeout.

Yeah man, that place is a ridiculous drive from Bragg but the people are cool and the steel pistol range is awesome.

Nothing beats home though! There's some of my 5.56 SBR here

Thanks, I like it...guess I will have to do an SBR SCAR 17 at some point.  What's your sling mounting system that you like on the 16?

Oh yes, and what height are the rings and what do you think of rings vs. something like the AD Delta?

My scar heavy I recently purchased.  Haven't even shot it yet and the first things I did were file the grip tang and rattle can it.   Acog isn't a permanent fixture. I'd like to get a 1-6 or possibly something with higher magnification.

Looks good but your bolt carrier got painted??? Yikes, don't know, I think I would mask that part before spraying. Maybe it doesn't bother it though.

The actual parts of the carrier that touch and slide on the receiver wouldn't be painted unless you take the carrier out and paint it.

I'm not too concerned, I don't believe it would have a lot of ill effects.

Cycle the bolt manually, if it feels smooth - No worries

Its good to go. I doubt that minor amount of paint would stop a scar.

Finally got my 17 where I want it.. For now

Geissele trigger
Tango Down side rails
VLTOR stock adapter (Before anyone asks, the factory stock would Falcon slap me everytime I pulled the trigger. A FAL does the same thing)
Magpul safety levers
GG&G charging handle

Added AAC miter mount, moe k2+ grip, and PMM front QD point. Going to add a vltor stock soon and that might complete this SCAR.....then again those new rails from Kinetic Development Group look pretty good.....

Good stuff.

That Vortex looks like a good fit for a long range SCAR 17.

It works well, but I'm not going to lie...that scope is heavy

Put another few hundred rounds through the new scar yesterday. Wasn't in love with the sight picture, so I replaced the factory rear sight with a KAC 200-600. I think it produced a much butter sight picture with less clutter around the edges of your vision. If you have a KAC 200-600, try slapping it on sometime and I'll think you'll be impressed. Obviously the elevation adjustments are going to be a little out of whack, but you'll just have to play with it a little.

I haven't shot the SR-25 yet but will report back when I do.  SR-25 is certainly heavier than the SCAR 17 but doesn't feel awkward because it is well balanced.  MK20 would be nice if funds permit.
