@StinkPotJoe

If you have a Fastenal store near you, then here’s the part number for the side rail screws. You’ll have to buy 50 or 100 quantity, but I think I remember it being less than $10. In the end it’s way cheaper than 4 screws and shipping from FN. If you don’t have a Fastenal near you hit me up and I could figure out a way to send you some as long as you aren’t in a hurry. Got a pretty busy week ahead, and don’t know when I could make it to a post office.

I have a friend who works for Fastenal, so I'll hit him up for the screws. Any idea if there is a replacement for the square nuts that go on the inside of the handguard? I'm also not sure if I'm missing any hardware for the bottom rail.

Took the rifle out to zero and mess around.  Great hits out to 350 since that’s what the furthest target was.  Waiting for the corn to get chopped so I can stretch out to 540.  Need to chrono it so I have make up a dope sheet.  I’m trying to figure out what round I should be using for mostly defense, but one that could stretch out a few hundred yards if needed? What’re y’all using?

No problems so far. I don't have a high round count though. I'm not expecting problems as it's made by LOW.

Nice setups. What rail extension is on the 17 and also, is the barrel factory length or chopped?

16's Barrel was chopped and p/w'd to 16"

Just got my 17 back from PMM. Had the barrel cut and muzzle device pinned to get me to 16" OAL. I ditched my MREX rail for a PMM mlok extension rail, hd mlok side rails and their Rep lok lower panel.  I'm very happy with how it turned out. Picture with my 16 w/ factory 10" barrel assembly.

Great video! I like the setup on both rifles. I was looking for a 4-16x42 ATACR for my 20s, it seems like the perfect match. I found a really good deal on the Steiner and finally got it mounted up this weekend. Hopefully I can zero it before thanksgiving.

Thanks! It’s been in the works for quite a while, the scope was the last big hurdle. I had a pretty narrow list and truth be told the Steiner wasn’t on it but the only compromise vs the two at the top(4-16x42 ATACR and S&B 5-20 US) is the lack of low profile locking(or capped) turrets. It doesn’t give up much in the size department and weight is about the same, I don’t think the taller turrets are going to be much of an issue and the price was considerably lower.

ETA: @Mblades

What caliber? Who cut the barrel? And did it require any changes to the gas regulator

Like buddy said it’s just a photoshop(unfortunately). I’ll probably wait until I have a suppressor or at least one in the works before actually chopping it

Second range trip with the SCAR today, total round count is 60. Got a chance to shoot it out to 1400yds but the furthest I was successful able to get hits was the gong at 1300yds. I went 2 for 5 on my final string. The Steiner is exceeding my expectations as far as image quality is concerned. Can’t wait to work up some hand loads.

Loving it so far, no ragrets replacing my EMC with it. I was a little hesitant about the Steiner and felt I may regret not getting the 4-16x42 ATACR or really splurging on the S&B 5-20x US but I don’t see any reason it won’t stay at this point. It blows away the 3-15x NXS F1 and Mk6 3-18x I had on my EMC.

I’ve had my SCAR for a year and have come to appreciate its capabilities. Recently took a multi day long range course. Was shooting out to 600 yards with ease. This morning shot to 1,000 yards for the first time.

I recently swapped some parts around and just got the Elcan so I had it apart the other day. Turns out the arms levers don’t clamp tightly on the rail, so I have a set of mk2 levers inbound
