Damn, Buddyhoohaw, those are some nice toys. Love that Elcan. I just popped for my SCAR so it's going to be a while before I can afford some decent optics.

MM, are you a lefty? If so, how do you release the bolt on a fesh mag (loading from a locked back bolt)? Just a quick slap of the charging handle with the support hand?
keep us updated on the SBR SCARS!!!

strongbow - yup, i'm a lefty. yes, i just slingshot the charging handle with the support hand instead of hitting the bolt release with the strong hand. i tried it both ways and found it easier for me. i just put a vid up, and you can see me slingshot the charging handle a couple of times. also, have a laugh at my mag change fumble, when i realized that my mag didn't drop free. i've since corrected it by carefully sanding the inside of the mag well.

How does the "brakeout" compare to the "blackout" as far as flash-suppression is concerned? |
i can't tell - haven't shot it at night yet.

You must be a lefty too It's the Trijicon RMR. http://www.trijicon.com/user/parts/parts_new.cfm?categoryID=13 Yes, I'm lefty...all my righty buddies now hate to use my rifle Video of me doing the transition from acog to RMR. Acog was at 100yds, RMR at 25yds. I'm doing the chicken wing way too much but this was the first time I tried the set up. Watching yourself on video is a great way to realize all the stuff you're doing incorrectly. Sorry about the random camera change halfway through...my buddy thinks he's Scorsese. http://i813.photobucket.com/albums/zz56/BadaBings/Guns/th_IMG_2106.jpg |
