Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - 7.62x39 upper on RR, what do I need to know

So I built a 12.5" 7.62x39 upper. So far it runs best with a 9mm buffer. I don't have anything heavier to try but I'd like to get something to give it a try. When I figured that out I started to wonder if that is beating up my lower too much. What do you use for buffers with these? How about suppressed?

Adjustable gas block with VLTOR A5 buffer system.  A5H2 buffer in use.
