Maybe you are getting special deals, but Sendras haven't been $10k for over a year. 2 years ago all I could find in AZ were SP1s and PAWS for $9500, wish I had bought one of them but was holding out for a Sendra or Colt even if I had to pay more. Meh. I got a SP1 for $8500 like three weeks ago. I'd guess I could find a sendra for $10k or less in a couple of months or less. You Sir are the only guy to find better deals then I. Did the SP1 find you or did you find it? beater/shooter or nicer?? Thanks |

I could have left it be, but I wanted to get the small pin conversion done by M60joe. Which he did a great job on, and refinished it in the darker colt color they are currently using. So I've got a small pin colt, in the current color, for under $9k once all the tax and everything has been paid. I'm happy with that. |

There are a couple of deals I missed, like the full auto AK that sold for $12k like three weeks ago. That one was an awesome deal as well. Some times you can find smaller shops that have stuff, but most of them in this day and age have someone working there that can get online and check prices. There was a guy I met at the local show, the one I got the uzi from, he had it sitting on the table for $6900, because I was a dealer he offered it to me for $6500 for the shop, but when he found out it was for me personally, he let me have it for $6k. Even at $6900 it was a pretty good deal. |

I want an Uzi. For $6k I would have bought it in a heart beat. No kidding. I would have rather gotten a mini, but hey, for that kind of price, I'll take a full size. It doesn't hurt to ask. How many dealers do you see at the shows that have the same stuff, year in, year out? Might as well make them an offer. Of course this guy wasn't one of the big name dealers in the area, and he only had two tables, but it was still sitting there, full two days of people walking by it, no takers. If most of his stuff he has had for 20+ years, he might be willing to sell it for a bit under market value. |

Again with the low prices, I think Arizona must have the highest priced machine guns in the nation. And if the price seems too good to be true, its always out of state and often too sketchy to send big money to a stranger.
I'd pay $10k for a good Sendra no problem and add a nice finder's fee. |

I am not super connected with gun people, but I am probably better connected than most. I think AZ being a state with a huge amount of population growth over the last decade, there is just not a surplus of NFA guns in state. We esp get a lot of refugees from states with gun bans so when they come here, they probably go apeshit and buy everything up. |

I keep monitoring M16 prices.
I don't think clones are worth buying anymore. When they were $9K or 10K during the price dip of 2010, they were worth it. But now I think it's better to get a genuine Colt. If neither gun is a bargain, then i think it's better to invest the extra for the Colt. |

There is a Bushmaster converted Sendra lower on Subguns right now for $19,995. Wow, prices (at least asking prices) are slightly out of control.

True. The buyer at $14,000 was prepared to pay me $14,995 because that is what it was still listed for on Sturmgewehr. I thought I had lowered that price to $14,000 so I told him to send me a wire for that amount. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuu......

If you are just starting out, building a NFA collection, and you see a M16 or UZI for sale within $1000 of current market value, you don't hesitate, you just instantly buy it. If you don't do that, what happens is that you spend months browsing the boards looking for a "good deal", and the inflated price you refused to pay 2 months ago is now the bargain price. Because M16s and UZIs are instant sellers. M11/9s are also just starting to go into "instant sell" mode. I hesitate to lump them into the same group as M16s and UZIs, but the allergens for a feeding frenzy are there already. |

My first three MGs are the Uzi, MAC11A1 and M16 (still waiting on that one). The aftermarket uppers, particularly the Suomi magazine based ones, I think are driving M11/9 and M11A1 costs upwards. Those uppers finally do away with the worst part of that design, which is the Zytel magazine. |
