That's true, the powder charge is a projectile that gets included in the free recoil energy calculation.

The velocity they always use is 4200 fps for the mass of the powder.  That must be an average.


So I stand corrected, the suppressor reduces recoil as well.

It might possibly improve accuracy as well in some guns.

Well..I already have a couple suppressors, so it's not any added cost. May as well try it.

And from what I've noticed, at least on blowback guns, is that it seems that recoil is slightly increased with the use of a suppressor. Probably due to the increased back pressure. At least on my UMP45.

You should absolutely try the suppressor out on the gun.

I have a bowers for my UZI, definitely worth it.
