What is the going rate for a used Mac 11 right now.  It's in fairly good shape. I know a guy who wants to sell one and want it to be a good deal for both of us.  Comes with original box but no strap. I believe it is a Cobray he bought it in the 80s

There are (generally) a couple of "mac 11"s

M11 - made by military armament corp and rpb. in .380
M11a1 - made by s.w.d. In 380, but use the m11/9 magwell
M11/9 - made by s.w.d. In 9mm
It makes a difference in price, accessories etc.

Check gunbroker for current prices, but somewhere between 3500 (a real bargain) and 5500 (full price from a dealer) for an m11/9

Also check sturmgewehr.com and the classifieds at subguns.com

I have a friend who just paid $4k for am M11/9 in .380.  He got a lot of mags with it, and a pretty nice case.  I think he got a pretty good deal.  I'd have bought it if I had the $$ 8-).

the .380s have traditionally been worth more from what I've read, but since .380 ammo costs so much more, apparently they aren't selling as fast.

I know I'll be saving up, and trying to get a .380, since I reload 8-).

Good luck.

My experience in shopping over the last couple of years is that the .380s seem to go for a tad cheaper than the 9mm and .45ACP (considering all MACs, not just the M-11.)
