I have two or three suppressed 22LR pistols that have various customizations, from lasers to RDSes to shorter barrels to new grips.  I cannot find an OWB holster that accommodates any of them well for use around the ranch.

Is custom kydex the way to go?  Looks like I can get it done for ~$70 per gun locally, which is great bc I walk in and present my actual weapon w/ can and wait while they do the mold.

No reason not to, especially for that price/convenience.

I know people speak highly of battlecloth though.

Since photobucket is now dead to me, I can't show you the pics of the holsters I have from Battle cloth.

However,:

[email protected]

is my preferred option.

If I wanted a purse, I would just use one of my wife's!  Why do you like the battle cloth so much?

They work well and provide a semblance of protection to the suppressor and light/ lasers.  Carrying options are versatile- shoulder or belt loop, although most of hte time they're on the floor of a treestand with he flap open.

I tried the black dog machine holster for my MKII.  With a 1" OD suppressor, it would not fit despite the ad copy saying it would.

This is the best holster for 22/45 that I have found. Allows silencer, red dot, and IR laser to be attached while holsters. Also ambi-dexterous.

What silencer? 1" (ex. Outback IID) does work, but 1.06" (ex. Silent-SR) does not fit.

If they would just open it up a bit to fit these slightly larger cans, it would be perfect.

Well that sucks.  My Mask HD measures 1.07.  Spectre II is .996.

Will a little sanding or dremeling fix the fitment?

I too have ordered a battle cloth holster for mt S&W M&P22c and had it set up to run both of my 22 cans ( SpectreII and MASK). I have not received it yet should be about any day now. Steve will tell you that these are not really a holster per-say but a padded cases that can function as a holster.

I wanted mine for hunting, I liked the flap and the versatility of the shoulder strap and belt attachment.

I have seen a few Kydex style holsters. Some that hold the gun and can separate but in the same pancake, Other where it held the entire gun.

PICS are from BattleCloth

Their was a pic of a kydex holster a guy made that clipped over the end of the suppressor and across the top and locked in over the top of the gun and was designed to be worn on the back under a T- Shirt. You could reach back and grab the grip and snap it out.

It looked cool as crap. It may have been super uncomfortable and may have not worked all that well. I looked all over the internet for the photo with no luck.

I have this exact gun and cans, and I want to use the combo for hunting.  Please report back after you get some time with the BC.  I will bookmark this to check back in with you.

Another vote for Battlecloth. For hip use definitely get the thigh strap. It keeps the holster tight to the leg.

Another vote for battlecloth.   VERY happy with the product and workmanship.

Lets face it, lugging a centerfire suppressed pistol isn't normal conceal carry.   Added benifit is the protection it offers both the gun and suppressor.

Just wanted something to carry a suppressed pistol with out back and this fits the bill very nice.  Even though it's measured for a H&K, fits most of my other handguns as well.

For battlecloth, on the last two pistol cases/ purses/ holsters I had him do for me, I had him put an extra male buckle on the back of the holster so I could snap the flap over and out of the way.  Can see the extra buckle in first and second pics.

I carry one while stand hunting frequently and leave the holster in a backpack sitting on the floor with the top flap on the backpack open and the holster in the backpack.  With the holster flap clipped out of the way, I can draw one handed without looking down at what I am doing.  It also comes in handy when sitting on the passenger seat in the truck while scouting.

All of my experiences with Battlecloth have been extremely professional.  With my first one, the MultiCam for the Ruger MKII, I originally had the OEM bull barrel with the hooked front sight (seen in pic#7).  The sharp little hook eventually wore through the 1000D cordura and caused it to hang up (hard) and made it extremely difficult to draw.  I contacted him after having it for maybe two years and he replaced it.  I used it as an excuse to replace the OEM barrel with  TacSol aluminum barrel assembly as seen in the group pictures.

Oh, and I joined Imgur.
FNX45 with Revo45 (woodland camo) and Sig P226 with Liberty Mystic (MultiCam).  The holster for the P226 came before the FNX holster.  I had the thigh strap installed on the P226 holster and found that I never used it.  I always carry slung across body with shoulder strap.

ETA- BTW, if using Imgur, upload the picture and then make cursor hover over the picture and a little box pops up.  To the right of the COPY option, there is a little down pointing arrow.  If you hover on it and then click on "Get share links", it gives you the option to copy "BBCode (forums)"- using that option, you don't have to click on AR15's picture of mountains icon to post the picture.

Their is no website. You have to email him at [email protected] and order that way.

Shoot him a email and tell him that you are wanting one. And measure you pistol and can like in the post above and send him the information and your done.

He no longer does the woodland camo. Mine is OD green and made to fit a M&P22c with either a Spectre II or Mask HD and the cost was $105 shipped.

Thank you so much.  I am going to order a couple.  These will work great as lightly-padded cases so that I can fit more stuff in the safe as well.

I emailed Steve and he sent me an incredibly comprehensive response literally 20 minutes later.  Looking forward to working with him.

The biggest unknown to me was cost.  The price of a standard holster starts at $89.95 plus shipping.  That is completely reasonable for what the consumer is getting.
