I have a 30-06 Tikka which was threaded in 9/16 - 24.
It measures .653 OD at the thread shoulder. Whole bunch of rounds through it and no issues to report. Morgan at Class 3 Machining did the work. |

Morgan also threaded my Sig SHR-970 in 9/16x24.
No issues with his work or the threads. |

I run a Rem 700 in 308 with 1/2x28 threads and a Griffin Armament Sportsman. Didnt have enough barrel diameter for 5/8x24 threads, but Griffin Armament said 1/2x28 would be OK as long as I use a lightweight can such as their Sportsman.
Several hundred rounds later and zero issues. Accuracy actually improved quite a bit when suppressed. |

I have done 300 win mags in 9/16 x 24 and 30.06s in 1/2 x 28 with no problems.
