CMMG's MK3 rifles are pretty great. I've had a few. They come with 416 SS barrels, too. Very accurate.

Would a SOCOM 16 work with a suppressor? It needs one more than any other 16" semi-auto than I can think of.

Is say get what you want than swap parts as needed, you'll likely end up with a rifle you like more while keeping the initial cost down. Having recently built a semi 308 host for my Hybrid, I can tell you I believe 100% in adjustable gas. Function is awesome with smooth recoil, undamaged brass, and predictable and neat ejection. |

I'm using an old AR10A4 and it's decent.
