I am looking for another 556 suppressor.  I have a 556 sd with the 51t mount.  I am happy with this mount, no problems.
I purchased an extra FH so I could use it on 2 different guns.

I am torn between the M42K and the Recce 5.  The R5 is a little shooter and lighter than the M42K, but the R5 adds a different mount.

The mount of the M4 is the 51T, so I could use it on any of the 3 mounts.

What is everyones opinion on the 2 cans.  Is it better to stay with one mount, or have a dedicated can for 1 gun?

Thanks for any info.

$499 m4-2ks are tempting but if buy the Recce 5

Short, lighter, better and more diverse mounts

Recce 5

Just a better can honestly.

No experience with the M4-2K, but I am very happy with my Recce 5 Mod 3.   Sounds great, and the taper mount is fool proof.    No latches, springs or pawls to fumble with or wear out.

At Silencer Shop the M4 is $597 and the Recce is $664.  Not much difference at all.

The different mount and only being able to use it on a single gun is my issue.

I dont think you can go terribly wrong with either but I would go with the recce, out of all of the problem posts Ive seen here, I haven't seen any for the recce series

Dedicated cans for every rifle is the way to go if you can, I go to the range to shoot not fiddle with accesories and it gets the best match up for each build

I think the Recce 5 slightly beats the M4-2k in every category, and I like the mount way more on the Recce 5. Griffin is also a great company.

Besides that, I think it's a really good idea to diversify your mounting options instead of locking into one system.
