Hi, I was hoping I could get contact information as well. Looking for a DT adapter and an end-cap or two. Thanks for sharing all this BTW, pretty awesome.

I emailed him a week ago and ordered a blast shield. I would be in for getting it coated too.

1. He said he's planning on shipping the direct thread adapters next Fri or Sat. Sounds like he had 15 orders.
2. He'll start on blast shields next. I figured SS would be the material everybody wanted. He'll probably mock one up in something else first. He does get charged by the batch for coatings. So, same cost for 1 or 100. As of now, he only has 5 orders. I'm assuming there are a lot of you just waiting for them to be available. If you want to contact him to get on the list, go for it. It'll give him a better idea for cost. We may also be able to try the preorder route again, but it'll be hard to price it without knowing how many.
3. I sent him specs another popular machinist has used to make the F1 suppressor adapters to fit on a Griffin muzzle device. A member here was interested in getting a Saker/Griffin adapter (to use Saker on Griffin muzzle device). Once he gets the internal specs tested to work, he could adapt it to Omega or anything else with a removable mount. Same goes for the YHM specs I sent him in December (but he just hasn't attempted, yet).

Is the preference for the Blast Shields that we contact him directly? If so, please IM contact info.

After the Saker/Griffin adapter is done, what about ASR/Griffin? I'm assuming this is the Griffin taper mount, correct?

A little late to the party. Please send contact info.  Could use a couple direct thread adapters, 1/2 - 28 and 14-1 LH , if available.

I dig it. I'm still waiting for my 2.25" tube to thread onto my spare ASR module to make a warden out of

Spoke with Howard today via email, and my 1/2x28 direct thread piece is shipping today!

Now, if only the ATF would hurry up.    I sent out my Omega and Deadair Mask on 2/15.  I'm expecting the Mask any day now.  Unfortunately, even though i checked "$200" on the Form4 for the Omega, i didn't manually write in $200 on the flip side to authorize the debit, only put in the CC number and info.  :(      That was returned without action so my omega went pending 4/15.

Hopefully I'll have it in time for deer season.

The one change I suggested was to add the notches like a Saker/Omega to let the hook on the wrench grab it. You could add 3-5 of them on the edge of the smooth part of the tube right next to the groove.

Thoughts?

I'm sure he could do the Saker, but he's yet to make anything as far as I know. He'd need something to spec off of.

You have something smaller 7.62 or smaller you're planning to shoot with a Saker or Oemga?

Original imported Tikka T3 "tactical" heavy barrel 308. They came with RH M18x1 threaded barrels. Now they have an American model, with 5/8x24 threads, and a 10 round mag. Unfortunately the mags aren't the same. I don't really want to mess up the value of the gun by chopping and rethreading to 5/8x24.

There is an ASR Big Bore QD mount in M18x1, and there was a DT mount Harvester. But with a Saker already, and an Omega on the way, I'd really rather not have to buy an ASR MAAD system, and change all my Saker mounts out. Though at this point, that might be the logical route, just to mount either can to whichever rifle I choose.

I figured I could just throw the heavy Saker onto the Tikka with a DT adapter, and leave it there. Otherwise, the Saker becomes almost irrelevant.

Alternately, a Saker adapter for the Omega would let me use it with what I've already got.

So some numbers for you guys after I received my HEE DT mounts (numbers are relative to my kitchen scale +/-)

OEM 7.62 flat cap + OEM 5/8x24 DT mount = 13.50oz

HEE 7.62 flat cap + HEE 5/8x24 DT mount = 11.80oz

HEE 5.56 flat cap + HEE 1/2x28 DT mount = 11.80oz

OEM 7.62 Al break + HEE 5/x24 DT mount + Cole-Tac Python metal cover = 14.40oz

BEFORE I say the following, I am not complaining AT ALL, and am still happy to write the payment check to HEE!!!!!!!!!!

But I will say that the HEE DT mounts are not as crisp as the HEE flat caps. Probably due to the extra machining steps/sequences. There are very small dings or nicks near the edges of the wrench cut outs. This is, like i said, probably due to the sequencing of the milling, or the type of mill HEE uses, NOT neglect by HEE. I just felt that I should share that for people who are anal, and don't realize what it takes to make these items. Once again, I'm not complaining, and am happy to write the check to HEE for the outstanding effort he has made for us.

Just wanted to say that the 9/16"-24 direct mount Howard made for me works perfectly.  I had a local machinist cut down and re-crown my A-Bolt  BOSS threads to .600"

Rifle is late '90s Stainless Stalker in .300 Win Mag.  Was a 24" barrel, now 23.4"  Shot 20 rounds Saturday with no hearing protection.  Wasn't uncomfortable at all.

POI shift was right at 2" lower with can at 200 yards.  1" per 100 yards is easy to remember.

Recoil was also greatly reduced.

I'm probably the only one, but I want a small YHM mount for the Omega. Not the short one that DM makes, but the one smaller than that. The size that is the standard DM YHM mount that fits DM's tubes.

I had partially forgotten about this, so a little wait isn't going to hurt me. Thanks for keeping us in the loop and keeping the project on his list.
