Hopefully our speedy payment processing is a good sign. With the batch approvals happening it seems like they're trying to get the paperwork out. I just hope a recent SSBI on me last year won't fuck my timeline up too much, but based on reading about how that comes into play for others, I'm going to not have a good time.

That’s good to know. It was for a job that I ended up turning down after almost 4 years of the hiring process. I was reading that people with SSBIs or active TS had a harder time in FBI purgatory. I need to remind myself sometimes that correlation doesnt = causation.

The speedy payment processing has absolutely nothing to do with the ATF. I’ve never had it take more than a week or so for payment to be processed...whether I was getting a 3 month paper form or a 12 month paper form.

The forms are mailed to OR (used to be GA), directly to a vendor. They simply process the payment and send boxes of forms to the ATF in WV. When your payment is processed, fast or slow, the ATF doesn’t even know you’ve sent in a form.

I thought it was weird to mail the form to OR based on my knowledge of major operations being in WV. I’m new to the NFA game though. I don’t expect to be in possession of my property until next March at the earliest.

My glimmer of hope was based on the “check was cashed on” dates compared to forms mailed dates. I know it’s govt roulette in the end.

Yeah, mine charges $50 and an additional $25 if I want to use the SS kiosk.

The ARF discount that HB offers helped though, and they offer a lot of information here, so I was willing to eat what really only turned out to be a few extra dollars.

Doesn't mean that much to me to mean that much to you.

Still no news on the checks being cashed so it will likely be a long wait. My efile form 1 SBR took 38 days, it was approved earlier this month. My AAC M4 from 12/27/2017 purchase. To check cashed on 2/2018 took 13 months. These wait times are ridiculous.

I am officially now part of the stamp collecting group.

Ordered up the AAC Illusion through Silencershop.
I like the idea of still being able to see the sights and target.
I'll run this on my Beretta 92FS and APX9...

Now...hard part is deciding to get the Rugged Obsidian 45 now...or wait and see if Yankee Hill's Stinger comes back in stock (~~can only~~ want to afford 1 more right now)..
I have a threaded barrel on my SR1911 and a Ssmith and Wesson Victory...both waiting for their can.
