Well, FML. Just bought a Maxim 9 deeply discounted. Suffice it to say, when it came out I said "once they're around $1K, I'll consider it." Now, finding one for a hair over $700 was too good to pass up.

Sent in the paperwork for SiCo Hybrid at the begining of May and just bought a Blackhawk Gas Can because it fits all the crap from my Omega 300 and Hybrid and I just bought a Ruger Silent SR rimfire can so I can stop fighting with my daughter over my other rimfire can.

Boy, I need to take my yearly leave from this site...
I now have as more cans in jail then I have on hand... Due to the deals thread I just ordered a Gemtech Trek 2, and a YHM Turbo. I’ve been watching the Gemtech Trek 2 for a PS90 sbr for weeks now, but once it hit the deals thread I knew I needed to order before it sold out.  . And a Turbo for 291.99 
Omega 9k is in jail since Black Friday deal from Radian $399 with suppressor charging handle. Specwar 556k, Hybrid, and Warlock II in jail as well (Thought I got great deals on these last year, but not even close to salad days prices now) I don’t know what I’ll do if there are more Sig Qd’s, Q’s, DA Sandman S, or a mini boss or a 2nd Omega 9k come up at to good to pass up prices. All this after I have been rumbling thru the mk18 thread and have already ordered a dd mk18 upper from brownells, Ordered PSA ghost lowers. I am also watching the PRI website for a promo for a mk12 mod 0 upper. I don’t think I will find any Surefire FA556 or AEM5 for less then $650 each thou. Anyone know if a leupold/Eotech/Elcan/Trijicon distributor is going out of business. So I don’t have to out a 2nd loan on the house...

Couple months ago, ordered a Hybrid for my 1895 45-70. Then just last week I ordered a Thunder Beast Take Down 22. Both of those from Silencer Shop, they make it too easy. Plus, I sent my original 22 can, a YHM Mite back to the mother ship and had it converted to Stinger spec. It arrived today, and I'm looking forward to shooting it tomorrow.

I grabbed a SiCo Omega 300 yesterday. Got it with the .30 flat front cap as well.
I'm going to put in for an Octane 45K. (Looking for advice on 45k decision, since it's not official yet). I'll have more fun with the shorter/lighter K can, on 9mm and 45 pistols as opposed to the full size. The sound reduction should still be well enough to make it worth it, right? SiCo lists the 45k at 135/139db for 9/45 respectively. This does seem high, for a pistol though. I don't think I'd enjoy it much swinging around a 9"/12oz can. The only other pistol can I've shot is a GM9 on a couple compact and full size guns. It handled OK but it's 8"/6oz. I thought the weight was just fine, but the length was obnoxious. Doubling the weight seems like it would be rather unwieldy, especially with the leverage from it being long (the regular octane 45). Thoughts from those that have BTDT? |
