I have a Colt 6720 that I am in the process of getting a suppressor for. Obviously, I want to make sure that everything is good to go. I know that Steve at Adco does excellent work, and I am about to send him some other items to work on. If at all possible, I really do not want to send this one in. My last can went on a Noveske barrel, so I was not concerned with it. I guess if it was off, the threads could be corrected. I would not mind cutting it down to 14.5 and pinning it, but since it is the 6720 model, I do not think this can be done with the LW barrels.

I know this comes up from time to time. I was just wondering how close Colt barrels normally are. I am not overly worried about a small POI shift. Most rounds will be fired under 50 yards anyway. Any advice would be helpful.

How is it checked/corrected?

That seems like it would work pretty well. Here is another question. I know you normally do not want to cut down an LW barrel such as the one on my 6720. That being said, if sent to a good shop, such as ADCO, could it be cut to 14.5" and pinned. I am going to put a breakout on it for my M4-2000, and would love to shorten it a bit. Not sure if even they could do it without the shoulder.

Seems like a solid plan. I believe that there is not much that ADCO can't do with an AR.
