THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
While I I am waiting for my Evo 45 can, I got to thinking today about using it on a 300blk (sub only).
This led me to thinking, the 'can under the rail' look is pretty sweet and different from any other build I have done.

While considering this, I am taking into consideration that my forearm rail needs to be a lot longer than my suppressor (and be of larger diameter).

For those of you who run this set up, what forearm did you use, how hard is it to remove your suppressor from the set up?
Im thinking about the YHM Diamond rifle length (12in) to go with a 8.5 barrel, suppressor is 8.5 too I believe.

Share your thoughts.

I went to the YHM website but I dont see an inside diameter of the rail listed. I myself would probably go with a Spikes BAR or a Seekins BAR rail. I believe the BAR rails have a 2" inside diameter. I tried going to the Advanced Armament website to see the outside diameter of the EVO 45 but their website appears to be down at this time. I am assuming it will work but not positive. I would think that installing and removing the can shouldnt be any big deal. Isnt the EVO 45 thread on?? if its a quick detach you may have an issue because of having to depress a release latch

The YHM rail will work with an Evo - no probem.

I have used one with a 1.75" OD Bowers CAC-45, and it just fits.  I forget if the Evo is a 1.25" or a 1.375" can, but either way there will be plenty of room.

The other issue to consider is when you go to remove the can.  With either my CAC or my Trident-9, when I remove the can sometimes the mount will unscrew from the barrel, and sometimes the can will unscrew from the mount.  If the can unscrews from the mount, you are left with the mount still attached to the barrel, and you can't get at it without removing the handguard.

That may not be an issue for the Evo... Not sure though.

The inside dia of the YHM is 1.75 I believe, outside dia of the Evo is 1.38 so I should be good there.

Yeah, I am worried about that too. I think with the 4 in depth to reach inside I could prolly remove with a pair of needle nose pliers.
With the barrel spacer, the Evo wont go OVER the spacer, right? Just above it? If that is the case, I may try to weld a notch or something to the spacer to make it
easier to grab on the outer diameter to prevent any damage to the top of it if it comes down to this sort of removal.....

Is the YHM a one or two piece? If it is 2 piece, I may be able to remove the bottom handguard to get to it.....
