Yeah, that would suck, knowing the owner has all these toys to play with 24/7 and here you are WAITING for ONE.  
At least you don't live close by to where the owner lives or where they make them .....................that would piss me off. |

Called today and spoke to a guy about my form 1 (pending March 2) and my form 4 (pending March 22). He said they should both be processed this month. We will see.

The paperwork and check was written the last of June and mailed to the ATF by my dealer on the 25th June (he sent me a confirmation when he dropped it off in the mail). Just cleared yesterday.
Looks like I will be getting my SDN-6 in March/April '13? |

Should still be Dec/Jan. I'd call to check progress just to see if it got into the system by chance.
I have sent in 3 forms this year, the two form 4 checks cleared 2 days after arriving and the one form 1 took 12 days. |

Well this is a new one for me...
Just got off the phone with a lady at BATFE, much to my excitement she said my form 4 was approved yesterday (8/6/12) for my Outback 2. After exclaiming my happiness over the phone i then asked her if it would be mailed out today? (my last stamp was mailed out the next day after it was approved and it arrived at my dealer barely a day after that). She responded with "well after approval its around 30 DAYS before you will receive the stamp" wtf?? is this a new thing or perhaps she was just being a robot and giving the generic answers that she was instructed to by the ATF when receiving questions like that? Hmmm... ill report back once i get the call that the stamp has arrived. i'm hoping it will mail out today or tomorrow like my last stamp (which i received last may) Whoops, forgot to add this info for you guys and gals... Dont have the exact date but application was sent in sometime very end of FEB 2012. It went pending 3/7/12, and was approved 8/6/12. Just about 6 months on the dot. :( |

Right? :) And that is very good news because it shows that the pending-to-approval wait times are indeed rapidly dropping from their peak of 6.5 months back in April. You're right to realize you got a canned response. It usually sends out within two days of approval. You'll be enjoying your Outback 2 this time next week, for sure. |
