Umm... there's 60,000 in just the first two strips... those are 5000 round cases.

571,500 plus whatever amount is in the small boxes in the upper right next to the bricks. Soooo...571,650?
|

Enough of the guessing.
Will this cycle a semi-auto with some consistency? (Mosquito, 45/22, 15-22) CCI will but no other subsonic i have found will reliably. |

592,150??
ETA: a shit load. Enough to choke every single can I have plus a few I don't have yet |
|
Dang, after I saw his post I looked again at the photo and I had missed that one brick standing upright. Good job on counting. We all expect a range report as soon as you can find the time.

ETA: How does the Gemtech ammo compare to CCI Standard Velocity, which is arguably the standard for subsonic .22lr ammo. Accuracy, consistant velocity, cleanliness, etc. |

Many other brands I`ve used in the past cant compare to the good results I get from CCI standard velocity. |

I think it's a little better than CCI Standard. That was actually our preferred / recommended ammo, and we set out to improve upon that baseline.

572,150 rounds. Ding! PM me your info! Kel Had it right (572,150) until I took off three cases (15,000) that you can't see, two under the foreground picture and one on the upper far right. 572,150 - 15,000 = 557,150 Thought it was how many in the picture, that could be seen. Oh well. Good job biggmac1 !! |

I will be ordering 500 or 1k tomorrow to test. If this does truly best CCI sv, I will be ordering a hell of a lot more.
Of course, if it has the gemtech name on it, I expect this to be the case. |

Quoted: Kel Post a nice close up of the "Headstamp" logo. (please) It looks like the Gemtech logo to me. |

I called Kel to order a brick of this new ammo and he talked me into 4 cases.
We'll do full sound testing / chrono / accuracy testing / etc. over on Silencer Forum once we've got the ammo in hand. Sounds like Gemtech has done a wonderful job with it, though! Bryon |

I'll be forethoughtful to use the term "skid" instead of "Pallet" in the future so no one tries to ship you somewhere, Matt.

I'm going to have to pick up some of this just based on comedy in this thread alone.

Over $9.00 per box of 100 rounds, I don't think so.
I will stick with the CCI STD Velocity at under $7.00 per 100. It is clean, accurate, and never, I say never has malfunctioned in any of my different .22 host weapons! Too bad it isn't priced to be a little more competitive. For that price, are you guys really going to use a touted "accurate" ammo for blasting in your suppressed .22 or are you going to be shooting it in a match grade rifle for competition where you care about the accuracy? It is .22 ammo!! |

CCI Standard Velocity stays subsonic in every rifle through which I have fired it, up to a 26" barrel. Does the new Gemtech ammo stay subsonic in rifle barrels as well?
What I am most curious about is the accuracy of the Gemtech ammo compared to CCI Standard Velocity. CCI Standard Velocity is my "cheap" subsonic ammo, producing ~1/2"-5/8" groups at 50yds, and Wolf Match/SK Standard Plus is my "match" subsonic ammo, producing 50yd groups well below 1/2". The Wolf/SK ammo is priced about the same as the new Gemtech ammo with CCI Standard Velocity priced ~$10-15 less a brick. I will assume the Gemtech ammo is about as clean as CCI Standard Velocity since the Gemtech ammo is likely made by CCI. If that is correct I am curious if the same powder as is used in CCI Standard Velocity is spec'd for the Gemtech ammo. |

CCI standard velocity :1070 fps 40gr
CCI sub sonic : 1050 fps 40gr Gemtech sub sonic : 1020 fps 42gr Gentlemen, correct me if I`m wrong in these stats.. |

If we pick it up in BOI, do you have to get the hellish tax?
Im assuming yes Do you sell it direct? |

You are correct (at least on the CCI standard velocity and our subsonic, I have no experience with the CCI sub). There is some variation in velocity depending on barrel length. |

If we pick it up in BOI, do you have to get the hellish tax? Im assuming yes Do you sell it direct? Yes on all counts. If sold to an Idaho customer (either direct or mail order), we must collect Idaho's 6% sales tax. Picking it up in Boise saves the UPS shipping charges. A brick has a ship weight of 5# and a case 41#. For Idaho addresses, the tax is on the product only, not shipping (service). This is unlike New Mexico (where I lived for 25 years) where the tax (called a gross receipts tax) was on everything __ even on physician and hospital services. |

Sweet. Definitely picking some of this up to try when my Sparrow comes in.

50 cases on a pallet? Do I even want to know the shipping cost to Central FL?
