Heads up: The very first cases of the new GEMTECH .22lr SILENCER SUBSONIC ammo started shipping out to consumers this morning.

We just got a text message from one of our dealers that evaluated his samples over the 4th of July holiday: "Alright, so I did an accuracy test against Federal bulk, CCI Bazer, Eley Biathalon, and GEMTECH SilencerSubsonic. This ammo is amazing. Grouped the best out of everything."

GEMTECH SILENCER SUBSONIC is a 42 grain lead round nose, designed for consistency shot-to-shot, heavier projectile than commercially available (without having to get a special twist rate or barrel), function in a wide variety of firearms, and give great accuracy. It uses a cleaner powder and lubricant, and is priced in line with mid-premium brands - it's not crazy expensive like some match rounds - but gives premium performance. Delivered in 5000 round cases, subpackaged in 500 round bricks of 50-count boxes - unlike bulk pack, we subpackage with plastic trays to prevent deformation in shipping, keeping accuracy primary.

$389 a case of 5000 / $45 a brick of 500 / $4.75 a box of 50 (Sold directly from GEMTECH, bricks and case orders only). We're working with our webstore software guys to get this online, but web software doesn't envision the need to check for age - so call in to GEMTECH to order yours at 208.939.7222

We're really stoked to have this finally roll out, as well as the great results beta-testers have been getting. We sent ten thousand rounds out to the Hush Indiana Silencer Shoot last month, and it ran flawlessly and metered very consistently. This is good stuff.

Kel

ps: First person to correctly post in this thread how many rounds are shown in this photo and I'll send you a 500 round brick from the first production run, free. :)

Enough of the guessing.

Will this cycle a semi-auto with some consistency? (Mosquito, 45/22, 15-22)

CCI will but no other subsonic i have found will reliably.

***We had both S&W M&P1522 carbines and SIG 1911-22 pistols out on the line at the recent Hush Indiana Silencer Shoot: ran thousands and thousands of rounds of the GEMTECH SILENCER SUBSONIC ammo through them over the course of the day without any of the guns choking - speaking well for both the ammo and those host firearms!

It should have a nice, tight groups but still function semi-autos well.

Dang, after I saw his post I looked again at the photo and I had missed that one brick standing upright. Good job on counting. We all expect a range report as soon as you can find the time.

Dangit! I didn't think that was a brick. It just looked like a brochure or something.

Ahh, he caught the four 5000rd cases underneath the four 500rd bricks & three 50rd boxes.

ETA: How does the Gemtech ammo compare to CCI Standard Velocity, which is arguably the standard for subsonic .22lr ammo. Accuracy, consistant velocity, cleanliness, etc.
