Im sure this has been asked before. Many times. I just cant seem to find a thread with the info I need- or im just searching for the wrong topic. Either way I need some help with the topic of my thread.

Is my only option the 3 prong blackout? Or are they making the 5.56 1/2x28 18 tooth break for the M4-1000? And if they are making it where can I buy one?

Thanks for any help guys-

Allen Arms, Bullseye, and Major Malfunction have (or had) the 18t 5.56 brakes.

You also may be able to find an older Phantom or A2 flash hider version if you search around.
I recently traded a guy my BLACKOUT flash hider 18t for an A2 version.

I'd trade my 18 tooth phantom style for a blackout any day.  I didn't know they weren't available anymore?

I either don't understand your post or I'm about to learn something.

Are you saying that one of those guys above makes AAC can compatible A2 mounts?  In other words an A2 with the appropriate (18 or 51) ratchet mount on it?

Thanks.

No, I was aswering the OP with the links.  The 18 tooth brakes are out and available at the above locations (unless they have sold out.)

I didn't know if he really wanted the brake or he just didn't like the "ping".  So, I offered up the option of searching around for an older mount on the EE or other sites if he wanted.

AAC used to make all sorts of other mounts for the 18 tooth mounting system.  The original mount (IIRC) was the A2, then came the phantom, then the blackout.  There were also other ones as well.  They even made an 18 tooth A2 mount that worked with the M4-2000 (18t) and M4-1000 that ALSO worked with the KAC NT4 5.56 silencer (IIRC).
I remember several years ago PSI had a bunch of "demo" mounts that were odd-ball ones (A2, SOCOM, Mini A2 or something) I thought about buying one of each just for the novelty of it, now I wish I had.

ETA: This post is evil...

Roger that.

I am building a clone of one of my issue rifles with an A2...which means no SPR.

Thank.

Bullseye has them.  I just picked one up.  It's a real PITA to tighten?  What size wrench do I need because my AR armors tool flash hider slot wouldn't fit it.  I just jammd a screwdriver in one of the slots and cranked it just enough to snug it up.

I'm referring to the suppressor mount. Are you referring to the non-mount FH?
