He said the rail is a Specter length. Theyre 9.67", so yes, it is longer than a carbine rail.

I built something near the same.....minus the mag fed bottom metal. Did that eliminate any of the feed issues that many experience on the R700 platform when chambered in 300blk.

Still has the typical wimpy Remington ejection, but at least it ejects.
