Gibbz side charging upper with Yankee Hill Turbo K.
Tried a coworkers Radian Raptor SD charging handle. Worked great with one of my other upper and the Turbo K. Had this Gibbz side charger specifically for when the can got out of jail. Surprised out well it keeps gas out of your face. Would I shell out for a side charger again? Probably not. But this one works really well.

I need to get it out to the range to shoot it/test functionality with the 12.5" midlength Triarc barrel, mount BUIS, and mount my Streamline light in an inline Arisaka mount, but damn this is sweet. The Arisaka inline mount fits perfectly in the 45 degree Mlok slots and I bought machine screws and cut them to length to direct mount the Streamlight tapeswitch to the 45 degree Mlok slots on the other side of the handguard. There's probably a 0.1" gap between the handguard and the Xeno mount.
About the only other thing I plan to do to it is maybe eventually replace the upper/lower with an ADM ambi set and swap the Nomad 30 for a Sierra 5 when I eventually get one. I might eventually replace the Aimpoint T-1 with a T-2 as well. |

Yeah, it's a Solo 300 upper receiver. I reconfigured an old Armalite 6.8 spc rifle that I put together years ago. I've taken a couple deer with it as a gasser and wanted something different but still wanted to keep it 6.8 for deer. It's really well balanced without the bipod and can and weighs under 7 pounds with the scope, Leupold VX-R 2-7. |
